The AAA aimed at helping farmers by offering them payment in form of subsidies so that they could provide less crop production and in the end stabilize prices and incomes. Though, it was the centre of controversy, it was able to reduce the agricultural crisis during the Great Depression and fostered sustainable agriculture.
