Whether your independence is healthy depends on why you are independent and how you express it.

Healthy independence involves self-reliance, making your own decisions, and having your own interests. However, unhealthy independence might involve isolating yourself, refusing help even when needed, or pushing others away due to fear of vulnerability or past trauma.

Consider: are you independent because you feel strong and capable, or because you're afraid of relying on others? Do you still maintain healthy relationships? If you're unsure, consider speaking with a therapist or trusted friend.
